Microsoft get's into Robotics!!!!!

Microsoft Corp. on Tuesday launched a technology preview of Robotics Studio, a Windows-based development environment for creating robotic applications.
The early release targets academic, hobbyist and commercial developers with a toolset for building applications that can run on a variety of robotics computing platforms, the company said. Early partners include the LEGO Group.
General manager of the Microsoft Robotics Group, Tandy Trower (no really) says that Microsoft wants to have its products in place by the time the market takes off in three to five years time.Next Microsoft will develop robots with genuine people personalities, its marketing division will adopt the logo "Share and Enjoy", produce robots which have pains in the diodes down their left side, and be first against a wall when the revolution comes.
"If we are correct about our investment, and this marketplace really does take off in the next three to five years, then we take our revenues as the marketplace builds," said Tandy Trower, general manager of the Microsoft Robotics Group.
