Apple has recently introduced its new 17-inch Macbook Pro notebook computer into the market. Said to deliver up to five times the performance of the Powerbook G4, the new 17-inch,3.1Kgs notebook ,which features an aluminium enclosure just one inch thin,is packed with a 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor; 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM (expandable to 2GB); 120GB 5400rpm SATA hard-drive; a slot-load 8x optical drive with double layer support; ATI Mobility radeon X1600 graphics processor with 256MB memory;DVI-outport for external display; built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing; Gigabit Ethernet port; built-in Airport Extreme wireless networking; Bluetooth; three USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire 800 port and 400 port; one audio line in and one audio line out port; the infrared Apple remote ; a 68 watt lithium polymer battery and an 85 watt Apple Magsafe Power Adaptor. The notebook supports a widescreen display of 1680 x 1050.
